The Mata Gujri Memorial Group of Institute under the banner of Tagore Memorial Educational Society have been established at village Balwanda in Gurdaspur district with the aim of providing effective academic as well as professional education to the vigour section of society of this rural backward area. The journey of Mata Gujri Memorial Group of Educational Institutes was started in professional education by establishing ‘Mata Gujri Memorial College’ affiliated to GNDU, Amritsar. The College is proud to run UG courses like BA, BBA, B.Sc(IT) and PG diploma PGDCA in 2003 and Technical Education by establishing ‘Mata Gujri Memorial Polytechnic College’ affiliated to PSBTE & IT. The Mata Gujri Memorial College of Education has been established in 2007 to provide B.Ed Education to the Children of this region. Campus is located in 10 acres area about 24 kms from Gurdaspur, 20 km from Mukerian and 28 km from Batala in Balwanda, within lush green surrounding. It is easily accessible by road from Gurdaspur, Batala and Mukerian. It is a secular, co-educational institute dedicated to the pursuit of excellence. Due emphasis all round development.

Services and Infrastructure

Mata Gujri Memorial College of Education in Balwanda Gurdaspur welcomes every student to an atmosphere that is conducive for knowledge enhancement. Other than what is written in the prescribed books, the teachers encourage students to explore more reference material so as to increase their knowledge. Debates are also applauded as it makes way for better learning.
